
The PADI Divemaster Course
is your first step towards your professional diving
career. A PADI divemaster, upon certification, will
be given a PADI professional number, which entitles
the holder to enjoy PADI privileges, assist a PADI instructor
in teaching classes, and independently conduct certain
PADI courses.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
The PADI Divemaster Course consists of Academic
training, Confined Water training, Open Sea training,
and Internship training. The candidate will learn, during
academic training, the following topics:

Role and Characteristics of a PADI Divemaster
- Assisting with Student Divers in Training
- Supervising General Diving Activities for Certified
Divers
- Dive Theory introduction
- Physics
- Physiology
- Equipment
- Decompression Theory
- Divemaster Conducted Programs
- Risk Management
- Business of Diving
- Furthering your Diving Career
The candidate will also
follow through a number of PADI programs with a PADI
instructor so as to be familiarized with PADI courses,
as well as logistics, and so on. During the Confined
Water training, there will be a series of swimming,
snorkeling, and diving skills test conducted for the
candidate, to ensure standards, and confidence. In the
Open Sea training, a candidate will be assigned tasks
to fulfill, at the same time, giving responsibilities
in handing logistics, student, and divers supervision,
and so on to prepare him/her for future dive activities.
Course fee will include the following
only:
- PADI Divemaster pack including manual, application
form, PADI Divemaster slates
Excludes:
- Certification Fee payable to PADI International direct
through credit card
Academic materials, which includes
the PADI wheel, PADI RD, PADI ERDP, PADI Diving Knowledge
Workbook, and PADI Diving Encyclopedia are compulsory
materials which must be purchased prior to the start
of the theory sessions.
