It was my first time in Tenggol and I was kind of excited because I’ve heard so much about the exceptional dives and visibility there. The island, located just on the East Coast of Malaysia is surrounded by clear blue warm waters from South China Sea. It’s not as commercialised as its neighbours; Redang and Perhentain, and still a hidden gem waiting to be discovered!
Scuba Diving in Tenggol
Besides the lush emerald forests that surrounds this island, there is an abundance of marine life such as: Nudibranch, Turtles, Humphead Parrotfish, Barracudas, Rays, Batfish, Triggerfish, Flase Clownfish, Sharks and the highlight (if you’re ever so lucky) Whale Sharks can be spotted when diving in Tenggol too! There are so many schools of fishes, it really so hard to capture them all on my camera as I was too mesmerised in the beauty of what our majestic ocean has to offer.
Tenggol Coral Beach has lots of wrecks within their house reefs for endless exploration! Don’t just take my word for it though, you really have to see it to believe it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Other than the diving, I was pretty lucky to travel with this crazy fun amazing bunch of people! All the drinking games made my stomach hurt like mad, but it was so worth it.
P.S. – Yes, we controlled our drinking consumption, in case you’re wondering. Please do not even think about consuming alcohol if you know that you will drink more than your own limit. Why waste your chances of diving and risking your life as such destination dive location?
